Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Health Data Analytics with a strong data normalization background. This position will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of health center staff, Cenevia staff, and external partners to collect, organize, and summarize complex data. The ideal candidate is able to extract the meaning from, interpret, and tell the story of data and why it matters. This position will bring analytical rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of measuring complex health care data stored in relational database systems. The Senior Manager, Health Data Analytics will prepare a wide variety of ad hoc reports and analyses for internal and external customers for decision support purposes. Essential Job Duties:
Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis to clean, normalize and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
Analyze EMR data by defining data requirements, preparing data for processing by organizing information, checking for invalid and missing data, and adjusting and weighting the raw data.
Process large amounts of data using statistical software and relational database software.
Identify relationships and trends in data, as well as factors that may influence decision making.
Design, produce, analyze, and debug routine data reports for internal and external customers.
Report results of statistical analyses in the form of graphs, charts, tables, and written reports using statistical, spreadsheet and/or word processing software.
Provide technical support to customers including answering questions, trouble-shooting problems and assisting in modification of program code.
Develop documentation for all analyses to include storage documentation of all files (program code, data sets, output), thoroughly documenting program code and archiving data sets when not in use.
Check program code for adherence to specifications and check output for correct results.
Develop quantitative measures to assess program effectiveness (e.g., internal quality control measures).
Maintains completeness of the data warehouse by ensuring uninterrupted access to data from disparate data sources, to include establishing access to new sources of data.
Design and development of Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes for data warehouses, gathering requirements, and designing databases.
Ensure shared reports follow HIPAA compliant processes.
Summarizing data and drafting reports.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
A minimum of three years SQL programming experience required.
Three to five years of work experience in database systems.
Fluency in the following languages and technologies: MS SQL, MYSQL, ACCESS, VBA, and Cognos.
Experience with data normalization.
Experience with development and maintenance of data warehouse sourcing disparate data sources, to ensure inclusion of up to date data.
Ability to analyze, extract, and summarize complex health care data stored in relational database systems.
At least 3 years Supervisory Experience.
Strong listening skills (important for communicating to technical and nontechnical team members).
Ability to communicate with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Experience working with healthcare data for Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHCs) preferred.
Familiarity with Azure, Tableau, R Studio, Alteryx, Excel, Power BI, and other software.
Applied experience with machine learning on large datasets.
Experience articulating business questions and using mathematical techniques to arrive at an answer using available data.
Experience translating analysis results into recommendations.
Ability to manage and assure successful completion of projects.
Excellent research, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of relational database theory.
Experience with data modeling and architecture.
