Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Description The ideal candidate has worked in industry, has extensive experience (and war:stories) in supporting ML models in production, has participated in the full software lifecycle of production:grade complex software systems (ideally on the cloud), and has prior experience with deep:learning approaches and the challenges they bring to model maintainability.

Responsibilities

:Act as a senior technical leader for machine learning engineering, playing a major role in setting technical vision, goals, and roadmaps
:Develop, provide hands:on technical leadership on, and ensure success by building scalable production machine learning systems that address current and future business needs
:Collaborate with a team of engineers, data scientists, and researchers to address emerging client needs
Qualifications

:Proven technical leadership on releasing and maintaining highly scalable production machine learning systems and shipping large scale projects with multiple dependencies across teams
:Prior experience with maintaining ML models while in production and adopting a variety of model retraining strategies
:Prior experience with cloud infrastructure and deploying ML on the cloud
:Hands:on knowledge and experience with deep learning (e.g., deep neural networks, recurrent networks, convolutional networks) and at least one production framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
:Familiarity with regularization techniques (e.g. dropout, weight decay, batch normalization)
:Experience with architectural patterns of large, high:scale enterprise applications, including the management of upstream and downstream dependencies and an ability to understand technical designs, challenges, trade offs, and risks
:Preferred: Experience with reinforcement learning, especially deep reinforcement learning techniques such as Proximal Policy Optimization, Trust Region Policy Optimization, Deep Q Networks, and Monte Carlo Tree Search
:Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
:BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field
