About the job:
As part of the Firmware Engineering team, you will drive the development and maintenance of the manufacturing test systems used for eVTOL aircraft.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement full avionics embedded firmwareOversee firmware architecture for all avionicsEnsure development can conform to DO178-COversee and conduct trade studies between different design considerationsDesign and recommend sensor interfaces Implement code and V&VCollaborate with the systems engineering and other engineering specialty teams to define requirements related to the eVTOL aircraft and systems safety Qualifications:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering8+ years of professional engineering experienceExperience with DO178-C regulatory processOne or more products from concept to aircraft productionExtensive experience with low level interfaces e.g., SPI, I2C, CAN FD, and UARTsExperience writing firmware (C/C++) for MCUs in embedded systemsExperience writing python scripts and python developmentExperience reading circuit schematics with schematic capture toolsProficient at troubleshooting circuits with appropriate lab tools10+ years of relevant experience with embedded developmentM.S.
or Ph.D. in Computer Science or EngineeringExperience with statistical analysisExperience taking at least one product through the entire development process Familiarity/ experience with one or more of the following:
FAA Aircraft Certification ProcessDefenses Airworthiness Process for SoftwarePrototype and medium volume manufacturingLithium-based battery testing/monitoringInterest in RC planes, quadcopters, or aviation Personal attributes:
