Trigyn's direct government client has 12 months + long contract assignment for Sr. level Architect in Washington DC.
Under the direction of the Chief Enterprise Architecture, the Information/Data Architect, performs the application architectural work effort of the current and future enterprise data center build program to conduct architecture related due-diligence reviews within the technology frame work for client applications.
The work effort will consist of developing current and future state architectural due diligence reviews, including but not limited to business transformation, identifying potential risks and opportunities, capturing the rationale for architecture design decisions, negotiating conflicting requirements, improving architectural documentation quality, and facilitating clear articulation architectural artifacts (Business, Information, Application, Infrastructure, Integration, Security etc.) recommendations to ensure value driven sustainable Architectural perspectives
Follow industry standards and best practices to enable effective review process for a multitude of technology paradigm within transit industry and alignment with proposed enterprise data center technology and frame work
Apply design principles based on Software defined Networks /Application aware network
Participate in the strategic discussions and associated architecture building blocks review processes
Analyze and review business capability architecture and translate it into an effective information architecture, features, functionalities, etc.
Translate user behavior into structured elements, attributes, process workflows, user scenarios, storyboards etc. for Enterprise information systems Maximo, PeopleSoft, etc.
Ensure business, functional, technical and information processes are reviewed and validated to meet the enterprise expectations
Coordinate and align with business, technology, visual, structural, editorial, cognitive and enterprise strategies
Understand the different contexts and provide meaningful inferences with respect to architecture reviews
Determine inconsistencies in business capabilities, results and escalate unusual problems
Carry out studies that allow appropriate choices for transversal solutions
Provide guidance for effective and secure integration of existing and/or new systems into the enterprise IS landscape
Assess the impact of new solutions on existing or planned architectures
Managing risks related to IT and information assets
Lead or participate in strategic studies
Monitor trends and new technologies in order to identify opportunities for client.
Foster innovation to create business value
Promote value of the enterprise architecture
Assess and communicate to the stakeholders a meaningful and usable architecture for their area of responsibility
Monitor and continuously improve EA maturity level (KPI definition, measurement and report)
EA Framework and tools (TOGAF, FEA, COBIT, ETC)
Implement and maintain the EA framework and repository with the associated governance process for enterprise asset management systems
Manage standards (identification, promotion, implementation & monitoring)
Identify, document and share the main components of enterprise IS architecture and the inter-component relationships.
Skills and experience:
Exceptional application architecture, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and software development skills
Strong system architecture, design and implementation experience with Enterprise information systems, Lifecycle Management, business processes, configurable work-flow/business rule engine, etc.
Strong experience working with solution design and implementation experience integrating enterprise wide systems such as PeopleSoft, Maximo, Windchill, inventory management systems, warehouse management system, accounts payables, etc.
Experience coordinating software requirements and working with development teams
Experience managing teams of programmers for deployment of large government multi-agency applications
Experience performing the application Architecture function, from conception to deployment, of a large government multiagency solution
Experience with implementation and architecture of one or more of the following technology sets: message oriented middleware, composite application frameworks, Enterprise Service Bus, Master Data Management, Enterprise Mash-Ups, or Business Process Management
Experience using an Enterprise Architecture repository such as Telelogic, Metis or Abacus to document relationship of application architectures to an enterprise architecture
Experience using the Enterprise repository tools to document relationship of application architectures to and enterprise architecture.
Formal training in organization development, complex systems analysis, group facilitation or information systems requirements analysis.
Experience in the transit industry. Specific to organization and design of business processes for transit assets.
9 or more years experience, including Solution architecture and Governance framework model including standards, policies, standard operating procedures, and change management controls applications
Hands-on experience in preparing use case specifications and underlying requirements specifications outlining technical, functional, non-functional, security, risk, data, audit, governance and compliance specification descriptions for asset lifecycle management by respective lifecycle stages
Experience using the Abacus Enterprise Architecture repository to document relationship of application architectures to and enterprise architecture
Experience in the transit industry a plus
Experience integrating more than four legacy applications or data sources across a J2EE, MS .NET, and/or legacy mainframe or mini environment
Experience, including architecture, in managing applications for message-oriented middleware such as Webmethods, WebSphere, Seebeyond or BizTalk
Experience planning and deploying a COTS portal framework as a presentation layer for enterprise applications such as SharePoint, AcquLogic Portal or Oracle Portal
Hands-on experience planning identity management solutions with application architectures
Experience planning and deploying either a business process management solution and/or a workflow engine within a large, enterprise software deployment.
