Job Description
The GRIP Program is a residential group home located in Lowell, MA. GRIP is a 24 bed co-ed program, working with youth aged between 16 and 21 years. The program teaches youth the skills they need to succeed on their own in the future. Such skills could include vocational, educational, relational and clinical skills. The program works to help youth integrate into the community in a supportive way, utilizing a trauma informed approach to treatment.
The Direct Care Worker will provide supervision and support to Direct Care staff in a residential setting and works Thursday through Sunday nights. The Supervisor reports directly to the Senior Supervisor.
Evening and Weekend Availability Required
APPLICANT MUST POSSESS:
Support all efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff and the program by providing verbal and physical interventions to provide a safe living environment.
Qualified candidate would be well versed in the policies and procedures of GRIP’s Residential Department.
Ability to work with male and female adolescents and young adults transitioning to adulthood.
Ability to plan shifts in accordance with scheduled daily routines, appointments, meetings.
Ability to be responsible for medication administration per MAP policies and guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
Acceptable CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and OIG background check.
Residential program or mental health program experience required.
Experience working with specialized populations of adolescents required.
Maintains valid driver’s license as driving student's is required.
Able to work alone in an unsupervised environment.
