The role:
Warehouse manager responsible for ensuring that the production department meets or exceeds daily goals. Facilitate and manage the shipping and receiving processes with speed and professionalism. The ability to drive and operate a forklift (must be forklift certified), perform some computer work and lift up to 100 lbs. is essential.
What You Will Be Doing
-Pull, prepare, and inspect orders for accuracy and load daily orders
-Perform quality control activities for incoming and outgoing orders
-Review sales orders for accuracy
-Compile the shipping documents and review for accuracy
-Prepare freight quotes for outgoing orders
-Report on errors in the shipping process
-Process customer returns by receiving and inspecting materials, processing, and compiling the needed paperwork and turning it into the Controller and Director of -Operations in a timely manner
-Receive, inspect, and stock incoming material
-Compile and review receiving documents for accuracy and submit to the inventory specialist daily
-Responsible for completing weekly inventory cycle counts as directed and submitting the appropriate paperwork to the Purchasing department.
-Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and orderly daily
-Responsible for reporting any equipment or building maintenance issues to the Director of Operations
-Daily production of membrane finished rolls, PVC flashings and metal stock
-Responsible for keeping the department members on task and ensuring that daily deadlines are met
-Responsible for training and mentoring of other team members
-Meet or exceed daily production expectations for stock items
-Complete appropriate paperwork accurately for each item produced
-Stock finished product
-Lead other employees in safety rules and regulations
Other:
-Assist other departments with tasks as needed during down time
-Participate in scheduled safety meetings
-Present, test and implement Continuous Improvement Charters as directed
-Other duties as assigned
What You Need for this Position
-Requires minimum of High School Diploma or GED
-2+ year of warehouse management experience
-2+ year of shipping experience required
-Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment
-Knowledge of the roofing and construction industry
-Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with high levels of urgency or sensitivity
Physical Demands:
-Ability to lift at least 100 lbs.
-Ability to work in a warehouse setting with a variable climate
-Ability to stand for long periods of time
