What You Will Be Doing
This role will provide an opportunity for career growth either in a technical field or in technical management. This position can be hired as either a Principal Engineer, Team Leader, or Group Leader depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead firmware design reviews for critical programs.
- Writes firmware source code in VHDL, and other languages
- Utilizes version control, simulation, debugging, and other development tools
- Analyze user needs and develop firmware and system level requirements
- Perform firmware and systems tests with quality
- Collaborates cross functionally with other engineering disciplines
- Will have an extended role to play in providing technical leadership on ongoing critical corporate programs.
- Will have an opportunity to grow in providing technical leadership to support business development and valued customers.
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Masters Degree is a plus.
- 8-15+ years of Firmware Development (also have applications roles -please inquire at my email), C/C++ Development, Linux, Embedded Systems
- Analyze and fix firmware and hardware issues from a system-level viewpoint
- Experience with Networking Protocols, Encryption
- Proven experience architecting electrical hardware solutions including SOC, general purpose processors, GPU, and FPGA based solutions with Xilinx and Intel (Altera) SOC/FPGA

- Familiarity with system, firmware avionics development processes (e.g. DO-254)
