JOB SUMMARY 13;

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Scottish Rite provides comprehensive care for children in a specialized environment. Childrens offers access to more than 400 specialists in 31 pediatric, medical and surgical specialties. Our 56 bed unit sees patients of all ages (infant : 18+) covering a variety of illnesses and diagnoses, including neuro, neuro/trauma, orthopedics, respiratory failure, hematology/oncology, sepsis patients, and other medical/surgical ICU needs.

EDUCATION 13;
:Graduation from accredited school of nursing

CERTIFICATION SUMMARY 13;
:
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi:State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact

:Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
:Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) within 1 year of employment as required by department

EXPERIENCE* 13;
:One year of nursing experience

:Bachelor of Science in Nursing

:Utilizes clinical decision support tools and resources to recognize issues, prioritize care, and modify plan of care as needed.
:Utilizes appropriate documentation tools to record, measure, and retrieve healthcare data.
:Provides patient and family education appropriate for identified learning needs.
:Utilizes resources to plan and provide nursing care that is safe, effective, and financially responsible.

DEVELOPMENT (Fostering Clinical Knowledge)
