Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Federal Facility – Decatur, GA Schedule: Full-time | Mon–Fri | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMLocation: Atlanta VA Medical Center – Decatur, GACompensation: $35–$45/hour (all-inclusive rate) We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to support a full-time federal assignment at a prominent medical center in the Atlanta area. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-acuity, multi-specialty surgical unit serving veterans. Federal contract, Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends. Key Responsibilities Perform circulating and scrub nurse duties in OR proceduresMaintain sterile fields and ensure aseptic techniqueCollaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teamsManage surgical instruments, counts, and safety protocolsSupport complex surgeries across specialties (Ortho, Neuro, ENT, Vascular, etc.)Document patient responses and interventions accuratelyMaintain supplies, troubleshoot OR equipment, and assist in emergencies
Qualifications Active, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. stateMinimum 3 years of recent OR experience (within the last 6 months)Graduate of ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing programBLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)Experience in both circulating and scrub nurse rolesComfortable in fast-paced, high-acuity surgical settings
