The Regional Account Manager is primarily responsible for driving sales growth, develops account strategies, manages relationships, and improves overall customer satisfaction within target accounts across the Midwest multi:state region (IL, IA, MN, MO, and WI). Account segments include travel health clinics, health departments, hospitals/IHNs, primary care clinics and employer groups. Primary account focus in region consists of the IHN business sector.

Essential Functions

Responsible for region performance and acts as the primary point of contact with assigned accounts, fostering and developing multi:level relationships
Provides key leadership role and guidance for the territory
Analyzes accounts near:term and longer:term objectives and develops strategic account and sales plans
Completes all territory objectives and achieves sales plan while operating within specified expense budget
Provide timely and accurate forecast for each assigned account
Develops business cases and proposals for specific customer contract offers
Responsible for knowing available territory markets, account potentials, and keeping current on changes that are taking place in these markets
Keeps current territory records concerning activities; communicates accurate information in a timely manner with professional tact
Reports timely feedback regarding account trends and anticipated impact
Utilizes and involves all available resources (tele sales, marketing, etc.)

Minimum Education, Experience, Skills

Bachelors degree
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceuticals or biologics
Experience with specific IDNs and associated relationships
Experience with negotiating contracts
Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
Experience in consultative sales, with a demonstrated track record of sales success
Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, problem:solving ability, and influential leadership across all levels of any account
A proven track record of successful territory management, account management, market share growth and product profitability
Passionate team player with a desire and ability to learn quickly and thrives in fast paced environment
Ability to travel 60:70 of the time
