Key Responsibilities As a Construction Quality Control Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring quality standards, compliance, and performance across complex energy efficiency and construction projects. Your work will support both project execution and organizational growth.
Lead Quality Control (QC) efforts for construction and energy retrofit projectsDevelop, implement, and manage project-specific Quality Control PlansConduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standardsOversee and coordinate Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) installation and performanceSchedule and manage field testing, QA/QC inspections, and third-party evaluationsPrepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, QC logs, and inspection summariesMonitor material deliveries and ensure compliance with approved submittals and specificationsCollaborate with field teams and subcontractors to enforce quality standards and resolve field issuesReview submittals and assist in material approval processes as neededEnsure all construction work and materials meet or exceed contract and regulatory requirementsSupport client communication and maintain high levels of customer satisfactionSupervise site superintendents and coordinate subcontractor performanceAssist in project scheduling, estimating, and bid document preparationOversee implementation of commissioning protocols, M&V plans, and O&M proceduresContribute to business development efforts, including audits, scope development, and support through design/build phases Skills & Experience Required We're seeking a dynamic, motivated professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for sustainability and clean energy. The ideal candidate will bring:
5+ years of experience in QC/Field Engineering related to operations, maintenance, and repairBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldProven leadership in quality control, field operations, and construction managementBroad understanding of construction disciplines: civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electricalHands-on experience with building energy systems: HVAC, lighting, controls, central utilities, electrical, and M&P systemsFamiliarity with energy systems project implementation, especially performance contracting (preferred)Experience with retrofit projects on military bases (preferred)Completion of the USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) course (preferred)Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detailDemonstrated ability to thrive in multi-disciplinary teams and ensure high customer satisfactionA proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate undefined challengesCommitment to excellence and a self-directed, accountable work ethicPassion for energy efficiency, clean energy, and sustainabilityExceptional interpersonal, organizational, and leadership capabilities CEG Solutions centers our culture and business process around a simple set of seven operating principles. Physical Demands and Work Environment Performance of the job responsibilities will require the ability to (1) use tools and operate equipment in the field, (2) ascend/descend both exterior and interior ladders/stairs, and (3) move safely around an area under construction. The employee must also be able to easily communicate with clients, stakeholders, and other employees and observe various pieces of equipment in the field. The employee must occasionally move and/or transport up to 75 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at the construction work site where the employee where risk of moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. Personal protection equipment and required safety training will be provided by the employer.
