CHPS is seeking a full:time psychometrist who will be responsible for the administration and scoring of psychological and neuropsychological tests under the supervision of a clinical psychologist or clinical neuropsychologist. In their work the psychometrist must know and place emphasis on adherence to standardized test administration procedures, accurately scoring assessments with appropriate norms, and providing detailed behavioral observations of the examinee that may be used by the psychologist/neuropsychologist to aid in test interpretation. The psychometrist may also be responsible for collecting demographic information from a patient/guardian. In addition, this person may also be responsible for various clerical or administrative duties that include, but are not limited, test scoring, entering data, and the procurement of testing supplies with accountability for maintaining inventory to support patient care.

Preferred education and skills:

Have earned at least a Masters Degree in clinical (preferred) or school psychology.

Have experience in child and family assessment, with substantial experience administering standardized measures, such as the Differential Abilities Scales or the Wechsler Scales.

Have an eagerness to learn new measures.

Job Responsibilities 13;

Under supervision of licensed psychologist, provides specific services to patients
:
Administers and scores prescribed psychological tests at 99 level of accuracy
:
Completes testing in timely manner
:
Record all factual information for patients, such as birthdates, dates of evaluations, with 100
accuracy
:
Transfers data from record forms to data sheets at 99 accuracy
:
Observes and reports to psychologist patient qualitative behaviors during exam
:
Under supervision of licensed psychologist, provides specific services to patients
:
Observes and reports to psychologist patient qualitative behaviors during exam
:
Performs assigned responsibilities in support of patient care
:
Enters clinical test data in computerized data base
:
Maintains test equipment and protocols

:
Maintain records necessary for CHPS, such as patient census information, at 100 accuracy
:
Schedules patient visits, orders supplies, and performs other administrative functions for the unit
:
Communicates with supervisor and Core Director regarding all study:related implementation and issues that may arise

Job Responsibilities (Continued) 13;
:
Understands and adheres to all CHOP policies and procedures as defined organizationally and specifically within the department/unit
:
Performs other duties as assigned, including telephone contacts with patients and families, entry of information including scores and behavioral observations into computer systems, organization of test supplies and storage areas, making photocopies and contacting schools/outside agencies to get patient records at the direction of the supervising psychologist, and participating in quality improvement projects for the Neuropsychology program aimed at improving work flow and patient care.
