Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting a Psychiatrist to provide outpatient onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the Atlanta VA Healthcare System.
This is a 1099 position and the schedule is typically Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities Provide comprehensive psychiatric services for Veterans enrolled for care in the Atlanta VA Healthcare System Outpatient ClinicsConduct diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consultations, medication management, and individual psychotherapyPrescribe appropriate psychotropic medications and provide general clinical management of patientsRequest appropriate consultations with other medical disciplines as neededAssess risk factors and develop preliminary disposition plans, involving the Veteran and, with consent, their family/significant othersProvide treatment for common diagnoses including anxiety disorders, PTSD, Major Depression, mood disorders, Substance Use Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, other Serious Mental Illnesses, and mental disorders related to Traumatic Brain InjuriesAssess serious and complicated cases involving psychiatric illness, catastrophic medical conditions, dementia, and other high-risk diagnosesExercise clinical judgment in selecting or adapting standard clinical theories, techniques, and practicesWork collaboratively with other disciplines on interdisciplinary treatment teams to provide comprehensive careEstablish professional working relationships with clinical service providers within the medical center and Community Based Outpatient ClinicsProvide telephone and curbside consultation as neededScreen consults for appropriateness prior to schedulingProvide direct clinical supervision of mid-level providers, psychiatric advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, and other staff as appropriateProvide telephone and telehealth assessments as neededParticipate in quality of care, peer review, and other performance improvement activitiesSee approximately 6 patients per day via phone, Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT), or VA Video Connect (VVC)Process incoming consults by assigned team and subspecialty diagnosesProcess individual view alerts in CPRS within seven (7) days of creationComplete all clinical notes within 48 hours of patient visitsQualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institutionActive, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of ColumbiaBoard Certification or Board Eligibility by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications or equivalencyNPI report printoutActive DEA licenseMust be able to pass a federal background investigationAll candidates must be able to: Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shiftLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waistLift up to 20 lbsCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distancePush/pull with 30 lbs of forceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
