Requisition Id1742 The Project Risk Analyst shall assist project management teams in facilitating the risk management process across the project and/or projects portfolio. The position will facilitate risk assessments and maintain risk management process ensuring that the project is in alignment with the requirements of the ORNL Risk Management process.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

:

Develop and implement risk management procedures and practices on the project according to the ORNL policy.
:

Facilitate risk management workshops and produce reports and recommendations to assist in the mitigation of the risks identified.
:

Ensure that project risk registers are in place and ensure that they are being communicated and updated within the project to an agreed format and frequency.
:

Implement the use of lessons learned.
:

Engage with project team, contractors and functional teams to capture, analyze, and collate risk information such as risk rankings, mitigation activities, action plans and inter:dependencies.
:

Coordinate project risk qualification and quantification and document risk mitigation strategies. Monitor mitigation plans and provide project risk status updates.
:

Ability to lead scientific teams in risk management planning, identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, response planning, and monitoring and control.
:

Assist the project team in collecting information for probabilistic cost and schedule risk analyses with the insight to critically evaluate key assumptions, biases, and uncertainties.
:

Train personnel in the fundamentals of project risk management.
:

Build confidence within ORNL in the value of using risk techniques as an integral part of the project management process.
:

Support the development of risk management procedures, tools, reporting, and training for the ORNL PMO.

Qualifications Required

:

Bachelors degree in finance, engineering, statistics, economics, mathematics, or related field; or equivalent education, training and experience. Advanced degrees are desirable.
:

Minimum of five years of project management or project controls experience required.
:

Proficient in understanding how projects are developed and executed within the various stages of the project lifecycle.
:

Familiarity with risk management as knowledge area within project management (for example, PMIs Risk Management knowledge area within PMBOK) and understand how risk management processes to a project or portfolio/program of projects.
:

Able to prepare reports in PowerPoint and MS:Word. Requires working knowledge of MS:Excel.
:

Knowledge of risk simulation tools (Monte Carlo, etc.) for project management (Risk, Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Risk, Crystal Ball, etc.).
:

Knowledge of (or familiarity of) cost estimating and project schedules is required.
:

Strong facilitation and presentation skills. Must demonstrate very good oral and verbal communication skills. Ability to facilitate meetings and risk workshops.
:

Strong teamwork, collaboration, consensus building and conflict management skills.
:

Strong in organizing and managing multiple projects/initiatives and adapting to changing priorities in a fast:paced environment

Qualifications Desired

:

Certification in risk PMI:RMP, AACEI DRMP, etc.
:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
:

Knowledge of probability and statistics
:

Primavera P6 experience
:

Five years of project experience working within an EVMS environment compliant with EIA:748
:

Five years working experience using risk assessment tools
:

Demonstrable evidence of implementing risk management practices within large complex projects
:

Two or more years of field or construction experience
