Requisition ID: Project Background Bechtel is on the Northrop Grumman Corp. team preparing to deliver the U.S. Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) system of inter:continental ballistic missiles and launch infrastructure. GBSD is a vital U.S. Air Force program designed to modernize the nations aging force of inter:continental ballistic missiles, which make up the ground element of the nuclear deterrent. As part of the Northrop Grumman GBSD nationwide team, Bechtel will provide launch system design, construction, and integration.

A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile:defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. We use our expertise to help our customers securely and effectively transform mission delivery.

Role Overview:

Manage the Office and Administrative Services Department. Responsible for providing administrative and clerical personnel to support the project in the areas of records management, document control, technical editing and command media (project procedures/forms) office administration (including office space planning, coordination with all appropriate parties :IS and T, Security), as well as functional administration. Ensures that requirements of Bechtel, as well as regulatory legal and contractual requirements are met. Provides recommendations to Project Management relative to administrative functions. Includes multiple project offices, technical editing and project procedures. The O and AS Department consists of approximately 60 staff members.

Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:

:
Provide functional and operational supervision to O and AS staff. Responsible for performance monitoring, performance reviews, salary planning and administration, career counseling for employees within the O and AS organization. Provides input to ranking and salary planning. This includes administrative, technical editing, procedure/forms management, document control, and office/facilities administration.

Coordinates with Human Resources for recruitment and staffing activities. Prepares position requisitions, conducts interviews and makes recommendations on desired candidates.
:
Develops and monitors project budgets and staffing plans for O and AS organization.
:
Manages tuition/training budget for department.
:
Manages/directs the document control and records management activities of the project.
:
Manages system administrative functions for the document control programs on the project.
:
Provides guidance and direction to the administrative and clerical personnel assigned to the project.
:
Plans, directs and coordinates project office space in multiple locations, includes management of facilities staff, location and set up of project offices, physical office layout including tenant improvements, space management, maintenance of office supplies, managing office moves, management and maintenance of building security systems, and coordination of computer needs with the IS and T organization.

Approves purchases as needed
:
Development and issuance of plans, procedures and desk instructions for O and AS as needed which includes reviewing and commenting on other departments procedures.

Contributes to and/or evaluates work process improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

:
Bachelors Degree plus 13 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, high school diploma or equivalent and 19 years of related experience.

Must be able to complete and pass a pre:employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education
