General Summary/Overview Statement
System Behavioral & Mental Health (SBMH) is the system-based department that supports and collaborates with all Psychiatry Department & services across the MGB network. Reporting into the SBMH Director, the Program manager leads the engagement, development, implementation, and management for several SBMH programs and projects aiming to increase access to behavioral health services across the care continuum at Mass General Brigham. This newly created role will work closely with the Director of SBMH to support the implementation of system wide initiatives supporting access to care, operational efficiency, and implementation of technology and innovation to support this. Initially, the focus will be involving the creation and implementation of a virtual outpatient behavioral health service for employees and dependent family members that will incorporate technology and technology-enabled care. Additionally, this position will work with the inpatient psychiatric units across the system to coordinate tools that can help facilitate inpatient admissions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Ambulatory Services Initiative
Ensures coordination of outpatient services across the system by maintaining (or overseeing the maintenance of) an updated inventory of specialty programs and resources
Documents protocols and procedures for virtual ambulatory services model in conjunction with Director and clinical/administrative behavioral health leaders across the system.
Inpatient Services Initiative
Owns the day-to-day operations and support for daily inpatient capacity calls/procedures
Collaborates with Admissions/Intake Coordinators across the system to gather and share information regarding capacity and need
Digital / Technology Initiatives
Oversees system wide digital behavioral health solutions (i.e. contracting, coordination among sites, system upgrades, integration with system technology)
System Collaboration
Works closely with the Director and Clinical Leaders across the system to identify opportunities for improvement and pilot initiatives to improve access and care across the system (inpatient and outpatient)
Develops and owns project plans. Proactively manages and coordinates open action items
Works collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams from system member hospitals and departments to support program development and implementation activities
Coordinates planning and logistics for regular SBMH meetings
Prepares/delivers presentations, meeting materials, minutes, and action plans
Performs other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other relevant master's degree preferred, but not required.
5 years of related experience including three to five years administrative management experience in a healthcare environment; experience working with the behavioral health population preferred.
Must have 3-4 years project management experience.

Demonstrated leadership experience in large complex organizations.
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to drive projects to completion in a complex, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to build consensus across teams, with staff and leadership.
Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards.
Ability to document and communicate the status of progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary.
Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Visio, Teams, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently
Working Conditions
Remote/Assembly Row campus, with some local travel between Mass General Brigham sites.
Supervisory Responsibility
May have supervisory responsibility as programs evolve as determined by leadership
Fiscal Responsibility
May have financial responsibility of program budget as determined by leadership.
