TheProcurement Managerwill be a supply chain and logistics expert who will specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company. Ensuring quality control and adhering to the Ellis Entertainment, LLC policy and procedures on supply chain management.

The incumbent provides significant experience in business practices, procurement strategies, commercial litigation and contract law, drafting and negotiation.

The incumbent is responsible for negotiating contracts on behalf of Ellis Entertainment, LLC, counseling Ellis Management regarding contracts and assessing risks presented by various forms of contracts. The incumbent demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills, proficient at legal research in a variety of legal matters, demonstrate superior analytical skills, work under pressure in a fast-paced business environment that calls for vision and quickly adapt to change and have strong project management credentials that bringing projects in on-time and in-budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage purchasing and receiving personnel, set goals and objectives, hire qualified personnel, train, develop and motivate staff, conduct staff meetings, and administer performance appraisals to facilitate and monitor employee development.
Establish and implement purchasing and receiving policies and procedures, and educate departments, regarding purchasing policies and procedures, and company bidding process.
Liaison with Legal Counsel on issues relating to the performance that including, but not limited to: contract language, terms, implementation and interpretation.
Preparation of legal opinion letters and memoranda may be required.
Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements including drafting and negotiating.
Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
Define the scope of the project in collaboration with the Director of Facilities that includes: identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project, determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project, develop and revise a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities, execute the project according to the project plan, develop forms and records to document project activities, monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary, update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project, and write reports on the project for management.
Propose improvements to the current purchasing system that will improve vendor relationships and lower the cost of doing business.
Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
Preparing procurement reports.
Collaborate with inventory control and sales to develop metrics for gauging inventory level needs and then maintaining those levels throughout the year.
Formulate and execute sourcing and procurement strategies which make efficient use of company resources, identify market trends, identify short and long-term sourcing options, and identify short and long-term partnering opportunities with vendors.
Enforce ethical practices in all dealings with company suppliers; monitor subordinates and companies that pursue improper practices.
Manage the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure that all purchasing agents are meeting their personal performance standards.
Assist in developing more effective invoicing and collecting processes.
Meet departmental financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests’ names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests from arrival to the property through departure; and provide fast and friendly service to guests).
Be a team player (e.g., work toward team goals and foster a collaborative and positive work environment; put the team first; assist coworkers; treat all coworkers with kindness, courtesy and respect; never engage in negativity; maintain openness to coaching, learning and improving; receptive to change and willingness to embrace challenges with team-spirit).
Develop a thorough knowledge of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings (e.g., gift shop, restaurants, theater, etc.), providing accurate directions, and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.
At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).
Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd and unusual hours, weekends and holidays.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
The job requires hire, promote, compensate, train, discipline, schedule, apportion work among others and direct, appraise productivity, terminate, measure performance and plan budgets.
