Details of the offer

Duties and Responsibilities Provide design engineering staff augmentation support to SRNS.
Primary responsibilities include engineering
task analysis, walk:downs, design development and generation of design output
documents including but not limited to: Location Plans, Connection Diagrams,
Conduit / Block Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Panel Detail Drawings, Piping and
Instrumentation Diagrams, and Battery Loading Calculations in accordance with
national consensus codes and standards.
Provide technical support to site construction forces, start:up and
testing, suppliers or subcontract personnel.
Prepare Data Sheets, Statements of Work, Procurement Specifications, Design
Build Specifications, and Purchase Requisitions.

Work Hours:

A 40:hour work week is scheduled.
SRNS utilizes various work schedules;
including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four
days per week), and 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week
Workweek excludes SRNS
SRNS Management will determine
best schedule depending on work needs.
Each workday has an unpaid 30:minute lunch break.


Graduate of an accredited engineering curriculum


Registered Professional Engineer in Fire Protection


Full member in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers


NICET Level III certification in the applicable subfield

:Demonstrated experience
with 2D MicroStation Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) (Preferred)

:Demonstrated previous SRS
Design Engineering experience (Preferred)

:Demonstrated eight years
recent design experience, four (4) of which shall include alarm and
detection systems design

:Demonstrated general
knowledge of electrical/control systems, connection diagrams, layout
plans, logic diagrams, panel layout details, P and ID's, and battery
loading calculations

:Demonstrated working
knowledge of National Consensus Codes and Standards applicable to fire
detection and alarm systems such as NFPA 70, NFPA 72, NFPA 90A, NFPA 101,
IBC, and various other ISA and IEEE standards

:Ability to use Windows
Microsoft Office applications

:Ability to perform field
walk:downs. These walk:downs may involve construction sites with uneven
surfaces and work in progress, walking for distances over a half mile,
climbing ladders to access remote areas, dressing out in protective
clothing and environments where a respirator is required.

:Ability to obtain and
maintain a DOE "L" security clearance

:Possessed an active DOE
clearance ("L" or "Q") within the past two years (Preferred)
