Description
The Partner Engagement Coordinator for Child Hunger is responsible for identifying opportunities and advancing capacity growth across the partner network to effectively address the needs of households with children in the 12-county service area. This position leads and supports the coordination of equitable food and resource distribution, oversees the implementation and evaluation of child hunger programs, and fosters relationships to enhance service delivery. The role requires strategic oversight, independent decision-making, and execution of new initiatives while ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Program Management · Lead coordination for all Child Hunger programs, including but not limited to Family Markets and School Pantries.
· Design and implement additional programs, such as College Pantries, After School, and Summer Meals initiatives.
· Ensure partner compliance with Feeding America, State and CFB guidelines through regular monitoring and evaluation.
· Develop and maintain partnerships aligned with community and demographic needs.
· Implement and monitor partner capacity growth plans and assist in expanding access to government food programs.
· Conduct site visits and provide ongoing technical assistance and program oversight.
· Evaluate program impact and identify opportunities for innovation and enhanced service delivery.
· Collaborate with the Operations department to ensure seamless execution of programs
· Frequent local travel required.
· Occasional evening and weekend work required.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Partner Relations and Training · Provide training and support to new and existing partners to enhance program effectiveness.
· Address partner concerns and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
· Maintain proactive communication with partners regarding services, schedule changes, food safety, and product marketing & movement.
Operational Coordination · Coordinate program site delivery schedules and manage product ordering.
· Assist in grant-related data collection and departmental reporting.
· Support food recall protocols and participate in audits as needed
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred or at least 1 year experience in community/partner outreach.
· Previous experience in education, non-profit, or human service environments is preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES · Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
· Valid Alabama driver's license and vehicle insurance; ability to travel regularly within the service area.
· The ability to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms and lift 15 pounds.
· Current SERV Safe certification or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire.
