We are looking for a Modification Shop Lead. This position will be based at our Southaven Distribution Center in Southaven, MS.
This is a departmental support position that will directly support the overall execution of Mod Shop activities within the Southaven Distribution Center in Southaven, MS. This position will be responsible for leading all new hire OJT and cross training of job functions within the department. This role serves as Process Lead for a specific work area within department and will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining key KPI's within work area including daily Operations Checklist and weekly Safety Audit Checklist. This position will also support facets of the entire workforce.

Responsibilities
Lead daily warehouse operations by communicating directives, conducting shift debriefs, and monitoring productivity, attendance, and workflow efficiency.
Serve as training lead within the department, maintaining documentation and supporting the development of new and existing team members.
Perform and oversee critical SAP and WMS functions, including production scheduling, order management, inventory reconciliation, and issue resolution.
Support cross-functional warehouse activities such as picking, packing, loading, replenishment, receiving, and special processing, while maintaining forklift certification.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements, participating in focus groups, and fostering a positive, team-focused work environment.
Communication
Report to the Operations Supervisor as needed and provide ongoing feedback on individual performance and training plans. Maintain open and professional communication across departments and with all levels of the organization.
Serve as the primary customer service contact, ensuring timely and professional resolution of internal and external customer issues through written and verbal communication.
Facilitate daily communication regarding work in progress, material needs, defects, and improvement opportunities. Ensure all updates are shared respectfully and clearly with peers and leadership.
Reconcile discrepancies related to equipment, inventory, orders, locations, and processes. Communicate and escalate unresolved issues following the chain of command.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and actively report and provide feedback on all incidents, supporting continuous improvement and team accountability.
Productivity
Monitor your work performance, to develop sense of pride in your work and sense of urgency.
Actively provide feedback to leads, supervisors and managers on all daily incidents, good and bad.
Become authority on key metrics and how they are derived, and ensure you understand how you will be measured.
Ability to lead personnel within work area and perform production activities at a high level
Be clear and concise on direction(s) given and follow-up.
Address Ineffective or counterproductive processes
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Computer skills required, to include warehouse management systems experience.
Material Handling Experience required
Minimum of 3: Stand Up Dock Truck, Order/Stock Picker, Sit down Forklift, Tugger/Cart, Walkie Rider, or any equivalent
At least 4 years' experience working in a high-volume distribution center or large retail operation.
Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) preferred
Proficient with SAP & RF Scan knowledge and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
5 years of direct operations experience.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $19.25. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
