Candidate should: Have an academic background in their area of studyDemonstrate curriculum knowledge and the ability to follow standards based instruction in a resourceful manner, to plan and deliver engaging learning opportunities and activities for maximum effectivenessMust be able to integrate ACT/SAT prep into classroom curriculum and support the development of academic habits and college readiness to prepare students for college successBe proficient in the daily use and integration of technology in the educational environmentStay abreast of current research and educational best practices by evidence of pursuing continual professional developmentBe a skilled communicator and have the ability to work effectively with students, parents, peers, administrators and otherHave the ability to assess levels of student achievement, analyze test results and deliver instruction to varied learnersApplicants should have a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in related fieldValid Florida teacher certification in the subject area or eligibility to be certifiedHigh school teaching experience preferredEmployment is contingent on the applicant passing a full background checkCommunicates regularly with parents/guardians, colleagues and principal;Attends required faculty and staff meetings;Cooperates with the principal and staff members in school-related meetings, activities and projects;Maintains accurate student attendance and academic records;Maintains a safe, orderly and secure learning and working environment;Maintains confidentiality and discretion regarding school personnel, students and general school matters;Complete other tasks as assigned by administration Requirements
