Position SummaryThe University of North Carolina Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting for an open rank (non-tenure track or tenure track) faculty member within the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
The Division's clinical programs include high-risk obstetric care, perinatal consultation, prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, genetic services, invasive fetal therapy and perinatal outreach.
Division faculty members are active participants in the activities of UNC's Center for Maternal and Infant Health (), which provides multidisciplinary care coordination for families referred for fetal malformations.
Division members actively participate in student and resident teaching and provide subspecialty training for six Maternal Fetal Medicine fellows through its ABOG approved fellowship program.
The academically-oriented Division has an outstanding record of epidemiologic research and is one of the participating institutions in the NICHD Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network (MFMU).
The Department has an active BIRCWH training program.
Biomedical and public health graduate programs offer extensive opportunities for collaboration in basic science and translational research.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsMD degree, completed a 4-year ACGME approved OB-GYN residency and have either a completed a 3-year ABOG approved fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and ExperienceMust be Board Certified/Active Candidate in both OB-GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Candidates must have competence in maternal medicine and prenatal diagnosis.
Candidates must also be committed to excellence in medical education.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
