The Marketing Manager will be a part of the Hematology Customer Marketing Team reporting to the Associate Director, Key Customer Engagement and will be based in Gaithersburg, MD. Key areas of emphasis for this role include strategic and tactical execution of Peer to Peer speaker bureau deliverables including slide deck creation, speaker contracting, speaker training, and budget management for CALQUENCE.

The role will be responsible for helping to position AstraZeneca externally as a leader in the treatment of hematologic malignancies. The marketing manager will work in close partnership with cross:functional partners including Regional Marketing Leads, HCP and consumer marketing, field sales, medical, market access, and other functions, in order to support the execution of a robust customer focused peer:to:peer strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

Build a franchise strategy around speaker programs, including identification of speakers for both promotional branded and unbranded content, and management of speaker bureau for CALQUENCE in multiple indications.
Lead development of content for peer to peer education ensuring program consistency and legal/regulatory compliance of all marketing materials.
Development of any necessary virtual or live training, guidance materials, or communications required for execution.
Execution of all peer to peer education tactics: GPO, Podium, National Broadcasts, Virtual Programming, and all brand led product and/or exhibit theatres
Determine optimal strategy for peer:to:peer education driven towards various customer types : physician, nurses, pharmacists, advanced practitioners, etc. Collaborate with cross:functional teams (Brand, Medical, ONEs) to deliver a successful speaker bureau and in support of product launches.
Implement effective measurement strategy to analyze and share impact of peer:to:peer education
Manage partner agency and vendor relationships, workflow and related expense budgets.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field
3+ years of pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry experience in one or more of the following areas: brand marketing, sales, strategic planning, project management
Oncology experience required
Be available to work some evenings, weekends, and travel as required
Strong project management, leadership, business acumen, and ability to manage multiple priorities, processes, timelines and expectations of multiple stakeholder groups

Preferred Requirements:

Hematology experience
MBA in marketing or pharmaceutical marketing
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
Ability to strategically develop and gauge feasibility, impact and risks of programs
Comfort operating in a highly regulated environment
