The Director, Internal Communications and Employee Engagement will create and implement an internal communications infrastructure directed at employees across WCG, as well as special employee events that will enhance the overall employee culture. In this role, the individual will liaise with the marketing team and senior management team to foster frequent and streamlined communication and engaging experiences across the employee base and all WCG offices globally. He or she will also work closely with key functions inside WCG to ensure a seamless and consistent employee experience
Marketing : to define how best to cascade organizational mission, vision, values, case studies, employee highlights, success stories and milestones, and shared experience
Human Capital Management : to develop and deploy employee communications related to employee value proposition, total reward benefits, and responsibilities as a WCG employees
IT : to establish and evolve the necessary infrastructure to connect all employees and allow appropriate shared access to critical information, news and content, and establish firewalls as necessary
Facilities : to align employee experiences across locations via physical infrastructure and office experiences
Operations/Finance : to continually assess needs and manage budget associated with employee efforts
The Director will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, and will organize and support necessary creation of employee:focused materials and events including employee town halls, employee engagement and appreciation, networking, and other events, as necessary. The Director should be employee engagement:focused, proactive, strategic and creative in approach and suited for a fast:paced, demanding environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop strategy for, and oversee execution of, internal communications and events for WCG.
Creates communication and events plan regarding key company initiatives and programs, as well as positioning and strategy for overall message, tone and voice.
Works in partnership with CMO and leadership team regarding senior management involvement with any employee:related communications and events.
Writes (or directs/supports writing of) company:wide communications to employees, as necessary, including executive communications.
Maintains and populates content for internal communication channels with WCG:related information including company updates, employee spotlights, business initiatives, event promotion, etc., policy and SOP updates, etc. Communication channels include email communications and intranet).
Continuously evaluates the most effective platform and behavior to share company information, updates and knowledge.
Works closely with HCM, IT and Facilities to consider intersection of systems, environment, and corporate policies for effective cascade.
Develops and implements creative ways to engage employee base in coordination with overall Human Capital and Communication strategy. Create programs and activities that matter most to the employee culture, while driving overall business performance.
Oversees and coordinates company town halls.
Partners seamlessly with Marketing Directors for effective synergy between internal and external communications strategies.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
BS/BA in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Business related field or equivalent experience required
Minimum of seven to ten years work experience in corporate/organizational communications (or similar role) preferably in an in:house capacity.
An exceptional writer, recognized for clear and compelling output, often asked to edit the work of others
Comfort interacting with people at all levels across the organization and presenting to them.
