Details of the offer

Volt's client, a manufacturing conglomerate, has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer at the Monroe, NC location for a contingent opening estimated for 12 months. This is an onsite position.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Technical Contributions.
Following the Zero Defects Initiative (ZDI), perform the following:
Collection of failure data from sources such as Scrap, Rework, Warranty, Customer Complaints, Capability Studies.
Update PFMEA based on analysis of data collected.
Perform line by line of updated PFMEA review on the production line.
Update CP and Operator Instructions based on Risks Identified.
Develop, validate and implement error-proofing techniques to mitigate risks identified in PFMEAs.
Basic Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum five (5) years of Manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Must have hands on working knowledge of the following skill sets:
Problem Solving
APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
MSA (Measurement System Analysis) (GRR’s)
Capability Studies
SPC
GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing )
