This role will lead a team of sourcing professionals while engaging with all relevant client stakeholders and executive sponsors.
The Managing Director will have responsibility for $900MM+ in spend across all Non-clinical categories including Corporate Services, Information Technology, Facilities, Marketing, and Tail Spend.
In this role, the Managing Director will assure achievement of aggressive category management plans, operational redesign and process improvements and savings goals.
This role will enhance the overall non-clinical Spend governance structure in collaboration with Senior Client Executive Sponsors.
This position will report directly to LogicSource's Managing Partner, Client Services.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities: Lead Non-clinical Spend category management, strategic sourcing and procurement operations responsible for LogicSource's Sourcing and Procurement Transformation program to assure immediate and ongoing Client value through cost reduction, market insights, strategic supplier relationship management and operational efficienciesBuild relationships with business unit executive sponsors and stakeholders to assure alignment of Non-clinical Category Management plans and achievement of overall savings targetsIdentify, lead and drive business process in-source/outsource and operational redesign activities.
Closely collaborate with client stakeholders to assure realization of cost-reduction opportunitiesDrive the Change Management program to influence behaviors across the business to align with a mature procurement model and assure timely execution of sourcing eventsSupport the Non-clinical, Non-Labor Spend (NLS) program office and governance structure to assure alignment with client culture and achievement of savings goals.
Assure client executive sponsorship of governance structureBuild a comprehensive procurement tool box: negotiation plans to support strategic sourcing, should-cost models, volume aggregation or bundling, competitive bidding, demand management, identification of new supply models, innovation, cross-portfolio leveraging, co-sourcing, tendering, low cost country modelsCreate immediate cost savings and next-level sourcing advantage for the client where spend and sourcing productivity have a future pipeline of valueIdentify and implement a sourcing prioritization model driven by both benchmarking and category price-to-value analysis.
Lead decision-making and broad team resource planning to staff sourcing plansCoordinate and oversee LogicSource's Center of Excellence (COE) resources to drive savings opportunities and effectively manage vendor partners to maintain the highest standards for quality and deliveryEnsure timely adoption and utilization of OneMarket technology modules for spend analytics, project reporting and savings tracking, and sourcing execution via OneMarket Insights, Portfolio and SourcingLead development and execution of total cost analysis where both price risk management strategies and value chain analysis can deliver predictable costsExercise leadership into the sourcing team optimizing human and informational resources to best manage category outcomes.
Effectively analyze path to value so that savings dilution or leakage does not occurIdentify specifications improvement, cost containment, and value engineering opportunitiesImplement a better understanding of cost structures and application of clean-cost sheet planning to Non-clinical category pricing.
Mine for appropriate supplier and sub-category opportunities to unlock incremental savingsFacilitate communication between client business units, internal stakeholders and suppliers for effective operation and delivery.
Build business cases to influence stakeholders toward changeProvide leadership, mentoring and support to onsite and cross-functional teams to ensure they understand their roles and interdependence in the delivery of sustainable servicesCreate procurement and requisitioning standard operating procedures to ensure procurement activities comply with best-in-class policies and procedures including legal and regulatoryContinuously improve sourcing processes, drive cost reduction, and shape the future supply chainIdentify trends and develop solutions for problems causing under-deliveryBuild and effectively maintain relationships within all organizational levels, including the C-Suite, delivering on client service objectivesDevelop and deliver ongoing Client status updates including Quarterly Business ReviewsLearn and adapt to client's culture while maintaining cultural standards of LogicSourceMonitor project progress and provide effective status reporting, develop with onsite teams' effective protocols on savings calculation, job and task sharing, and information exchangeUnderstand industry trends and growth sectors for LogicSource's expansion considerationsQualificationsRequired Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferredMinimum of 15 years or progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing & procurement across a broad set of Non-clinical categories, preference provided to candidates from retail and consumer-facing industries10 years of experience working within the healthcare industryStrong financial acumen with multi-year experience building, managing and delivering against P&L'sDemonstrated success in managing vendors and experience in high-value contract negotiationsDisciplined negotiator in complex sourcing or multi-dimensional businesses; ability to balance cost, cash, speed, and service considerationsEntrepreneurial aptitude with a commitment to client serviceDemonstrated executive presence and ability to develop relationships, communicate effectively and influence senior level management.Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel/financial analysis and PowerPoint/presentationsProven Innovator with significant demonstrated experience in driving operational and organizational change managementAbility to gain consensus across multiple business units company wideStrong problem solving and leadership skillsAbility to successfully function at a strategic level as well as a hands-on tactical individual contributor that is comfortable in the detailsTravel: This position may require occasional travel.
