Provide systems administration support for the Advanced Technology Laboratory.
Under general supervision, perform computer systems installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, trouble shooting, and end-user support for servers, workstations, laptops, and virtual machines.
Create, edit and maintain DoD CyberSecurity configuration and documentation to achieve and keep an Authorization To Operate (ATO) for classified computer networks.
Maintain computer operating systems configuration management in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
Assist in deployment and maintenance of engineering/scientific software applications on servers and end-user computer systems.
Perform computer systems audits for compliance with established information assurance policies and configuration guidelines.
Maintain computer hardware/software inventories.
Document computer system configurations.
Other related functions as assigned.
High School diploma or GED. Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures used in maintaining a Linux infrastructure. Working knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) CyberSecurity accreditation process. Knowledge of networking and computer security concepts. Candidate will need to obtain a DoD 8570.1 IAT Level I Certification, such as Network+, within 6 months of hire date. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills. Must have a professional demeanor, be punctual and have the ability to work with little or no supervision. Able to work under pressure and accept supervision. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Retirement Plan Eligibility:
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
