Laser Operator - Ventrac

Schedule:
6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday
Starting Pay:
$*****/hour, depending on experience
$2,500 hiring bonus to all new hires (paid within the first 6 months of employment)
Summary:
To operate
computer-controlled
Co2
or fiber
laser cutting machine to perform one or more functions.
Operator
must ensure proper production
work flow
using
SigmaNest
.
Position Responsibilities:
Prioritize work
and
operate
lasers
efficiently
Use programs
including FMS Automation, HTX Mazak,
STX Mazak
, and/or
Laserflex
Automation
Utilize
SigmaNest
nesting software to cre
ate
tasks
Creat
e
programs, l
oad raw materials
,
and
o
perat
e
the lasers
using the correct setti
ngs/
conditions
M
anaging various utilities including
compressed air
, nitrogen, power supplies, etc.
Maintain machines
– operation, periodic cleanings, maintenance and
addressing
breakdowns
Use the
Ventrac
Network
to
manage
the high volume of j
obs going through this work
cell
Monitor the work cell
via
control panels, gauges, charts, alarms, inspection of operation, etc
.
to e
nsure it is
operating
properly and
p
roducing parts to VPI standards
Strive for continuous improvement in operations of the
work cell
– including workflow, quality & speed of cut, scrap rates, etc.
Confer with supervisors or programmers to resolve machine malfunctions
/
errors
May include other fabrication
duties
Minimum
Qualifications
:


Minimum high school diploma,
GED
or equivalent school with relevant work experience

Minimum 1-3 years of applicable work experience

Must have a mechanical apt
itude, strong analytical
skills
and strong computer
skills

Must be able to read and understand established procedures a
nd detailed work instructions

Experience of operating basic CNC machine controls/programming

Ability to
operate
forklift and overhead hoist in a safe and orderly manner

Must be able to lift at least

or walk for

periods of time
