Roles and Responsibilities
Identify a business need, refine and clarify the definition of that need, and define a solution scope that can feasibly be implemented by the business.
Identify, analyze, and document stakeholder needs and deliver work products throughout the project life cycle.
Manage work on multiple projects simultaneously
Work with stakeholders to identify and ensure their underlying needs are understood, rather than their stated desires
Assess proposed solutions to determine which solution best fits the business need, identify gaps and shortcomings in solutions, and determine necessary workarounds or changes to the solution.
Apply strong technical skills, business intelligence, and a full understanding of the needs of the customer into all project documentation
Expertly communicate between technology teams, support teams, and business units
Translate business requirements to System/Functional requirements.

Adept at extracting needs and processes via interviews to produce clear, concise documentation

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
Completion of a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university, which has included major course work in Computer Science or Information Systems
Minimum five (5) years’ work experience, preferably within IT, and three (3) years business analysis experience
Extensive experience with relevant tools such as MS Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio
Experience with human-centered design techniques a plus
Experience working in a large governmental environment preferred.
