Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who will partner with our IT help desk team to deliver high-quality service to our operations and business units and increase the impact IT has on the company’s overall success. This position will report to Clark’s headquarters IT Help Desk Manager, located in Bethesda, Maryland. While the position will be physically located in Irvine, CA, the role will also support general Help Desk calls beyond the California region as required.

Responsibilities

Provide support to end-users across the Clark companies on a variety of issues through phone and in-person support. Includes but not limited to coverage of company email systems, smartphones, PCs, Applications, Printers, AV, and Hardware/Software.

Research and resolve technical problems while documenting and tracking the problem to ensure a timely resolution within our Help Desk ticketing system - ServiceNow.

Accessible and responsive to telephone calls, email, and employee requests for technical support.

Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems.

Simulate/recreate user problems to resolve operating issues.

Maintains and adheres to corporate computing/technology operating procedures and standards.

Proactively monitors systems, such as Audio Visual, to prevent system malfunctions and initiates corrective action to maintain schedules and to ensure the integrity of production and output. Participates in bi-monthly weekend maintenance window testing as required.

Maintains schedules for recurring administrative maintenance, assists users in planning scheduled and unscheduled testing.

Troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, installs, and performs testing activities on various computer equipment, peripherals, data communication, Audio Visual, and computer network systems.

Configures and tests computer equipment on LAN and WIFI networks, requiring the use of standard interface protocols.

Consults with and assists manufacturer’s representatives in installing new computer equipment and asset tracking; exercises total responsibility for routine installation or modification projects; assists other technicians or the manager in repairing, installing, and testing complex pieces of equipment; submits equipment repair warranties.

Completes work orders such as installing equipment, connecting and moving devices, installing disk drives, and troubleshooting network data resources.

Performs system maintenance tasks such as file saves and backup in accordance with operational schedule and procedures.

Maintains daily tasks and incident report management; daily, weekly, monthly metric reporting required by the manager.

Performs advances technical troubleshooting for network-related issues and utilizes web-based applications to conduct investigatory research.

Travel locally to construction jobsites as needed to provide onsite technical support

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.

Exhibit technical skill and knowledge in computer hardware and software as well as networking systems.

Microsoft A+, MCP\Associate certifications preferred

Demonstrated commitment to maintaining accuracy and timeliness in processing and delivery with a sense of urgency.

Desire to provide outstanding and above and beyond customer service.

Organized and able to plan and manage a project from start to finish.

Detailed, conscientiousness, and committed.

Solid communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

Team-oriented with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.

Passion for technology and desire to start building a career in IT.

Willingness to be part of the training required to support company systems.
