Job Summary:
The Information Technology Manager?s role encompasses all aspects of technology providing a valuable tool set to drive business growth and sound decision-making, providing solutions to build robust systems and provides technical expertise and administration for existing systems.
Essential Functions:
Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
Act as an advocate for the organization?s IT vision via regular written and in-person communications with the organization?s executives, department heads, and end users.
Work directly with vendors and maintain communication to best utilize services.
Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.
Respond timely to system failures to provide continuity of performance and minimize work stoppage.
Assist in the planning the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.
Ensure continuous delivery of IT services to end-users.
Manage and maintain Information Network.
Manage, maintain, and support ERP system.
Ensure data availability and integrity.
Approve and administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and access control.
Report writing and programming.
Manage and maintain phone system.
Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
Approve, prioritize, and control projects as they relate to development and installation of major information systems.
Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies.

Secondary Job Functions:
Support employee badge system.
Oversee and monitor company security system. Perform operational tasks as needed.
Install, configure, optimize, and upgrade personal computer components, operating systems, printers and scanners.
Perform preventative maintenance on personal computer components, operating systems, and printers.
Conduct research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
Train personnel on systems.
Other duties as assigned.

Competency or Position Requirements:
Substantial exposure to data processing and software platforms.
Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
Microsoft Platforms, SQL, Cisco Switches and Firewalls.
Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
Experience in IT planning, organization, and development.
Understanding of project management principles.
Understanding of the organization?s goals and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
Ability to set and manage priorities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.
Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, switches, network interface cards, and so on.

Experience and understanding with ERP Systems.
Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Establish and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility.
Perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

Directly supervise those within the IT Department.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in the field of computer science and 5 years of related experience.

Physical Factors/Work Environment:
On call availability during off hours including weekends.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and communicate.
Occasional stooping, crouching, with floor to ceiling work maneuvering to inspect cables and computer components.
Lifting of materials and supplies from time to time including desk top printers, computers.
Sitting for long hours while using office equipment and computer.
