The IT Architect II (Salesforce Developer & Administrator) will manage the agency s applications for Customer Relationship Management for Customer Services and Marketing and Communications functions to ensure that all communications with customers, stakeholders, members of the public leverage best of breed technologies and processes to execute customer related transactions efficiently and securely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties listed below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be interpreted as an exhaustive list of responsibilities.

Guide the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans for the support, adoption, expansion and upgrades to the Salesforce platform.

Develop and deploy case management solutions using assignment, escalation, workflow rules and actions.

Develop and deploy e-mail, mail and web marketing campaigns to maximize reach and return on investment for each campaign.

Manage an evolving set of customer touch-points and create a 360-degree view of each customer combining data from all touch-points.

Manage and execute a wide range of process activities beginning with feasibility analysis through development, test and final delivery.

Collaborate with other teams within IT to develop cross functional integrations and solutions.

Improve the efficiency of response to customer requests through automation and workflows.

Establish and implement appropriate change management controls in Salesforce.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor s degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Engineering, Science or a related field.

A minimum of (7) years of hands-on work experience in Salesforce development and administration.

Experience in Force.com technology stack: APEX, Visual Force, SOQL, SOSL.

Experience integrating Salesforce with applications like SMS 360, BI, API Server.

Experience in building Visual Force Pages, Visual Force Custom Controllers/ Components, Advanced Search Functionality, Reports, Dashboards, Tabs.

Comprehensive understanding of business processes associated with Customer Relationship Management, Communications and Marketing.

A combination of training, education and or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered when determining minimum qualifications. Advanced relevant coursework may also substitute for a portion of required experience.

Valid Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record of no more than three moving violations and no DUI's within the last three years.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Salesforce Force.com Platform Developer.

Salesforce Advanced Administrator/Administrator.

Microsoft Windows CE Operating System

Zebra programming language

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Transition between a stationary position at a desk or work location and move about Metrolink facilities or other work site locations

Operate tools to perform the duties of the position; such as computers, office equipment and work-related machinery

Transport equipment or boxes up to 25lbs

Exchange ideas by means of communication

Visual acuity to detect, identify and observe employees or train movement and any barriers to movement when working on or near railroad tracks

Hear and perceive the nature of sounds when working on or near railroad tracks

Balance, ascend/descend, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, crouch or crawl within assigned working conditions and or locations

WORKING CONDITIONS

Position requires work in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, or temperature. Work may also be conducted in outdoor environments, at construction sites, Railroad Track and Right-of-Way environments, and warehouse environments, with possible exposure to individuals who are hostile or irate, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises (85+ decibels, such as heavy trucks, construction, etc.)
