Job Summary
Enterprise Community Partner?s Detroit office is committed to strengthening communities by ensuring that everyone can live in an affordable home connected to good schools, transit and health care. We do this through capital solutions, policies and programs. The Detroit market is one of Enterprise?s strongest offices across the country and provides thought leadership in response to critical social issues. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in gaining experience related to affordable housing and community development.
The Detroit office has identified four priority areas: preservation of affordable housing, economic mobility, advancing racial equity, and health and housing. The internship will focus on one or more projects related to these four priority areas along with assisting in other office activities as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare marketing materials about Enterprise?s policy, programmatic, and investment work
Draft blog posts, info graphics, website and social media content
Assist with event planning and meeting logistics
Conduct research on housing and community development policy issues
Conduct data and spatial analysis
Develop internal office procedures manual
Administrative assistance as needed
Take on new responsibilities as assigned

Must be current student with two years completed at an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields;

Strong organizational and project management skills

Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong research skills and the ability to analyze and report/summarize findings
Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
Familiarity with affordable housing and community development issues
Strong interest and commitment to community development.
Lived experience and/or service that informs worldviews and/or perspectives about creating social equity across race, ethnicity, language, social class, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, and other dimensions.

Additional Information
This is a Full-time summer position (June through August)
