Intellectual Property Partner We are actively searching for an Intellectual Property Partner to join our AmLaw200 firm with office locations in Miami, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, or Sarasota.
This pivotal role includes engaging in high-stakes patent and trademark litigation and offers an opportunity to work closely with our team of esteemed legal professionals.
Ideal candidates will have a robust background in law practice, specifically focused on patent and trademark dispute resolution within technology sectors such as engineering and computer science.
Salary: DOE per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead litigation cases with a strategic perspective on behalf of our clients in patent and trademark issues.Coordinate and collaborate with other partners and senior associates to manage case progression and achieve optimal results.Formulate detailed case strategies including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.Engage directly with clients to provide legal advice, case updates, and handle sensitive intellectual property matters.Participate in, and occasionally lead, trial proceedings, ensuring articulate argumentation and adherence to legal standards.Contribute to business development activities within the firm to enhance the IP practice's growth and reputation.Minimum Position Qualifications: 8-12 years of experience in patent and trademark litigation within a law firm setting.A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.Admission to practice in Florida or the ability to gain admission promptly.Experience in handling technology-related intellectual property cases especially in engineering or computer science domains.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.Proven history of strong litigation and negotiation skills.Preferred Qualifications: Membership in the Patent Bar.Prior experience in a leadership role within an IP practice.Demonstrated success in developing business and client networking.Track record of contributing to the professional growth and mentoring of junior associates and staff.Strong professional standing and a reputation for ethical practice.Skills: Exceptional legal writing and communication skills.Advanced analytical and logical reasoning abilities.Excellent organizational skills with an unparalleled attention to detail.Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and opponents.Benefits: Highly competitive compensation package that aligns with the legal industry standards.Comprehensive health insurance plans including dental and vision coverage.401(k) plan with firm matching to aid in your future financial security.Paid time off plus holidays to ensure work-life balance.Professional development opportunities through workshops, seminars, and conferences.Relocation assistance for qualified candidates looking to move to Florida.
