One of our premiere Boston-based clients is looking to add a seasoned Human Resources Manager to their growing team.
The Human Resources Manager is a key role which will partner with management from the various business lines to drive people management solutions supporting business objectives, employee retention, and development. The Human Resources Manager is a multi-faceted role that touches all aspects of the company?s human resources structure including recruiting and on-boarding, benefit design, employee relations, training and development, employee relations, and performance management with a goal of growing the team and building an exceptional workplace.
The successful Human Resources Manager is a personable, results-oriented, multi-tasker that is able to handle a variety of day-to-day duties. This is a position which requires working independently, but also requires interaction with staff and department heads in a professional, empathetic, and courteous manner. The effective manager is someone who is driven, ambitious, and has a desire to have an impact on the success of the organization.
Plan and oversee employee benefit programs including medical, dental, life, and disability programs as well as time off and other employee benefits such as tuition reimbursement and employee referral.
Conduct analysis and makes recommendations to partners for Benefit renewals
Host open enrollment benefit open houses
Develop recruiting process and oversee recruiting efforts.
Conduct exit interviews; provide feedback on key themes while maintaining the confidentiality of individuals. Document resignation trends and coach leadership on ways to minimize employee turnover
Research, draft and maintain company and restaurant policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and communicate so that all employees are aware of policies.
Maintain and update the company?s job description bank and organizational charts.
Work with managers on employee relations issues as needed ? proactively check-in to ensure all work groups are functioning positively.
Coach and advise employees on problem resolution; help them identify solutions and encourage them to constructively resolve conflicts.
Manage the performance review program and merit increases, including updating the program and working with managers to ensure good implementation.
Ensure company is compliance with all labor laws
Leverage HR knowledge to partner with the business lines on special initiatives, organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and succession management.
Establish and maintain employee records, including payroll and benefits information.
Oversee and support HR-related software and systems (HRIS).
Manage Human Resources Administrator.
Oversee payroll administration and processing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor?s degree and 7-10 years of related experience
Proficiency with standard computer applications (MS Office) and HRIS databases, with strong Excel skills preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills; highly motivated and results-oriented.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including comfort presenting to and partnering with senior leaders across the organization.
Strong ability to proactively identify and implement effective solutions.
Self-starter with and entrepreneurial spirit and a drive for results.
Leads HR Initiatives and projects through to completion.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year
