PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Provides administrative support and coordination for all HR functions related to benefits, employment, compensation, payroll, and compliance administration.

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Provide supervision/leadership for Human Resources Coordinator and Office Administrative Support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Participates in the recruitment process by recruiting, screening, interviewing, selecting and on:boarding new employees.

Utilizes the applicant tracking system to pre:screen candidates, and determine candidate disposition.

Consults and trains managers on the hiring process, interview and selection techniques, and utilization applicant tracking software.

Manages job offer process including pre:employment screening, offer approvals, and offer letters.

Responsible for new employee orientation including benefit enrollment, company history, and new hire paperwork.

Consults with and advises employees on benefits eligibility.

Oversees annual benefit open enrollment meetings to present information. Serves as primary contact in answering employees benefit questions, collecting insurance forms, entering employee elections, and uploading data to insurance vendors for timely coverage. Provides information to corporate Benefits Department and appropriate vendors.

Administers Workflow process to record employee changes such as pay, job transfers, adds to payroll and termination.

Process and maintain records of employee Workers Compensation, Short and Long Term Disability, Paid Family Leave, FMLA, leaves of absences and other time off.

Process the compensation program, including increases, commissions and bonus payments.

Monitors the performance evaluation program.

Conducts recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees.

Perform employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviews.

Responsible for semi:monthly and weekly payroll processing and transmitting data and maintaining payroll files.

Administers Outreach for Affirmative Action Program.

Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefit laws and regulations.

Oversee driver DOT files, including physicals, MVRs, drug testing, random drug testing program, and training.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Attends training to keep up to date on regulatory issues pertaining to payroll and benefits.

Follows GROWMARKs Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting or related field and a minimum of 4 years experience in benefits and payroll, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.

Must be able to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.

Must be able to travel independently and overnight.
