Job Description:

As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be responsible for safeguarding America's borders from various threats.
This includes patrolling designated areas by foot or vehicle, questioning individuals and inspecting documents and property, apprehending undocumented individuals or smugglers, and tracking and interpreting signs of illegal entry.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
">
You must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower level, including searching detained persons, vehicles, and surroundings, apprehending or restraining suspects in violation of law, using firearms, writing reports, serving warrants, and gathering case evidence.
Additionally, you must be able to use intelligence to monitor criminal threats and operations, lead fraud or contraband investigations, and apprehend violators using surveillance and detection technology.

This career offers a competitive salary range of $63,148 – $120,145 per year, with locality pay varying by duty location.
You will also receive health insurance, paid leave, and participate in the Thrift Savings Plan (similar to a traditional or Roth 401(k)).

To qualify for this position, you must be a U.S. citizen, have lived primarily in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years, and be referred before turning 40 (exceptions apply for federal or veteran law enforcement).
