Outside on the expansive patio guests can dine al fresco in the shade at a table or lounge at one of the couch sectionals for happy hour.Whether its a casual weeknight meal or a leisurely celebration whatever the occasion the team at Gusto invites all to drink, to taste, and to enjoy!SOUS CHEF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Assisting the Executive Chef in all facets of managing food production and executionHiring, training, and developing service staffAccurately preparing all required reports, schedules and other admin paperworkEnsuring that all guests are provided with genuine, hospitable service at all times through accurately and thoughtfully prepared food dishesWorking with other kitchen and FOH management to achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, and atmosphereUnderstanding and implementing all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programsBe an advocate of our company culture'Working the line multiple shifts per weekSOUS CHEF QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 2 years restaurant kitchen leadership experience in a full-service restaurantStrong knowledge of operations including equipment operation and maintenance, setting par levels for prep and ordering, and training staff on proper techniqueStrong communication and leadership skillsPersonal responsibility mentality with a hands-on attitudeWorking knowledge of costing recipesAbility to follow through on projects and goals and reach desired outcomesExperience with Italian cuisine preferred
