Graphic Design and Illustration Specialist
DynaMed is a leading online evidence:based point:of:care medical reference. It is a rapidly growing, comprehensive clinical decision resource that provides the most current and useful synthesized evidence with the quickest time:to:answer.
The Graphic Design and Illustration Specialist will be an important member of the EBSCO Clinical Decisions Media Team. This team produces illustrations, graphics, videos, and animations through creative and original techniques by applying their knowledge of software applications such as Adobe Suite, Maya, Blender, Fusion and Zbrush.
The Graphic Design and Illustration Specialist will be involved in media production from beginning to end (planning to render of final media). Rooted in EBSCO Clinical Decisions media product design, the Graphic Design and Illustration Specialist will lead projects and work collaboratively with the editorial team to execute and complete multimedia:related projects in the pipeline within deadlines. This position will work in concert with other editors on projects as needed to achieve overall product goals, including editing existing media The position is also responsible for keeping current with media technology, software, and processes to continuously improve production quality and output.

Creating and finalizing concept illustration work

Editing photographs and other media

Following EBSCO Health media branding guidelines

Application of photography and mixed media

Referencing medical material (anatomical and molecular)

Managing media assets
Required qualifications:

Portfolio must be included in application

Bachelors degree in a related field (Graphic Arts, Media Communications, Broadcasting, or Film) : portfolio will be required
:
Course work and/or 1+ year of experience with layout/visual composition
:
2+ years of demonstrable experience working on multimedia projects
:
2+ years of experience with software applications: Adobe Products (ideally Photoshop and Illustrator) and 3D software
:
Strong attention to detail
:
Interest in science and medical procedures
:
Ability to learn new software and techniques
Preferred qualifications:

Experience developing web graphics
:
Knowledge of color theory and typography
:
Skills in both art/illustration and video editing
:
Self:motivated, thrives in a creative environment

Knowledge or strong interest in 3D/Animation a plus
