Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is an excellent opportunity for an ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in surgical retina to provide high-quality ophthalmology services including, but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.

Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment for a variety of vitro-retinal conditionstreat retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, etc.review patient historiesperform retinal examinationsorder / interpret tests (OCT, photos, fluorescein angiograms, etc.
)evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient carerecommend suitable management, including preventive health recommendations and habitsprescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management planscollaborate with PCPs and internal / external optometrists and ophthalmologistsprovide relationship-centered care, taking into account psychosocial and physical needscommunicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality careparticipate in medical staff educational programs and meetingsThe new ophthalmologist will perform office-based procedures and weekly outpatient surgical procedures, including:

intravitreal injectionsfocal and pan-retinal photocoagulationlaser of retinal tearspars plana vitrectomyscleral bucklingepiretinal membrane peelingmacular hole repairA variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference for patient volume and types of appointments scheduled.
All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.
The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.
