You will lead and develop a team of Analysts and Underwriters to identify and execute on opportunities to retain and expand pharmacy lives. Youll do this by underwriting new and existing customers, finding opportunities to increase revenue and profit margins, executing on complex sub:client pricing strategies and providing consultative information and recommendations to clients in areas such as plan design and distribution channel.

To be successful, you will have demonstrated the ability to understand health plan and pharmacy benefit manager financial economics. The Director will lead client discussions that are highly complex financially, so a deep understanding of pricing and financial levers of our business is key.

Specifically, the incumbent must have experience working with health plans that offer multiple lines of business, such as fully:insured, ASO, managed Medicaid, Medicare Part:D, and health insurance exchanges. You should also have experience influencing various types of health plan decision makers, including representatives from medical, pharmacy, actuarial, sales, and finance. Experience with health plans that are highly custom in their approach to managing the benefit custom formularies, clinical programs, channel solutions, and integrated benefit designs is also important.

The ideal candidate will possess:

:Experience working in a geographically diverse company and in a Matrix reporting environment

: Outstanding interpersonal skills across the full spectrum of formal and informal channels and to multiple audiences, including external clients, benefits consultants, internal partners, and executive leadership.

:Ability to synthesize and communicate recommendations and information to executive leaders (up to and including PBM President) in support of decision:making

:Experience working with healthcare and pharmacy claims data and common tools used to manipulate data (SAS, Excel)

This position may be based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Northbrook, IL or Irving, TX. Work from home candidates with substantial related experience will also be considered.

Required Qualifications
: 8 years experience in the PBM or health plan industry
: Prior management experience required
: Ability to travel up to 20

Preferred Qualifications
: Prior actuarial experience in Health Plan insurance setting.
: Masters degree in a related field preferred
: Actuary certifications a plus

: Bachelors degree required
