They do this through continuous development of their teams, facilitating and participating in collaboration between key stakeholders, building relationships with directly with customers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. FAE Managers create environments on their teams that inspire mastery of technical skill, application of demand generation techniques, development and rigorous execution of account strategy, and pursuit of trusted relationships between FAEs and their customers.Position OverviewThe Field Applications Engineering is a front-line manager and has ownership and accountability for their FAE team and region. This includes all FAE related activities and functions in the department including hiring, key objectives setting, performance evaluation, employee coaching and development, and acting as an ambassador for the FAE group to other parts of the company. The FAE Manager will lead their team by example to become highly trusted technical consultants that influence the technical direction of target accounts and NI to ensure mutual customer and NI long-term success. Highly effective FAE Managers use coaching and mentoring skills to aid their teams in individual and professional growth while also applying their influence to account strategies directly. Close collaboration with sales and marketing counterparts is expected, where the FAE manager enables efficient leverage of specialized resources from other teams when appropriate. This position is compensated by 80% base salary and 20% variable pay based on achievement of annual revenue targets of teams assigned accounts.

Qualifications
