The Boeing Space & Launch Division's Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES) program is seeking
Experienced Systems Engineering Engineer
to develop a new global military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) ground system that will manage transmission of protected tactical waveform - a type of secure, anti-jam communication - over Boeing-built Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites and terminals. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain SMART Requirements to build, test and deploy microservices in a fast paced agile environment. The position is located in
Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Technology areas this position will be focused on are:
Understanding end to end system knowledge
Continuous integration, testing, and delivery
Automated system testing, integration, and deployment
Developing SMART Requirements per customer higher level requirements
As a member of the PTES team, the successful candidate will be involved in the entire software development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer's delivered system.
Position Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project owners to define product specifications, business case development and cost analysis
Join IPT Leadership Team for upward and downward communications and project metrics, schedule updates, presentations, and ensuring the entire team understands the current project status.
Respond to Statement of Work changes to assess their impact and to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs, and schedules
Lead project execution to complete the Statement of Work, to include providing technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of project plans
Translate business needs into high-quality technical requirements, metrics, design requirements, and ensure all requirements are met.
Identify performance metrics, lessons learned, and plans for risk mitigation
Ensure coordination with and presentation to all configuration control and engineering review boards
Assist in system deployment planning and installation scheduling
Facilitate skills including critical thinking, Risks, Opportunities, Issues, Scheduling, Communications, Cost Control, and Leadership.
Coach, mentor, and train others with less experience
Work under minimal direction
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Experience multi-tasking and working in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Satellite Ground System Domain knowledge is a plus
Experience applying Program Increment planning in an agile context is a plus
Release Train Engineer Experience.
Ability to work collaboratively to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering and support teams.
1+ years of experience working in an Agile and SAFe environment.
Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
