In supporting the business for growth, the Executive Director, Pricing will lead the Pricing Strategy Transformation by aligning the current state pricing structure to support the future strategy. Will act as a strategic partner in helping drive and support key business decisions related to pricing strategies which will in turn result in increased profit and expanded market share. You will drive change leadership and management necessary to ensure buy:in with senior leadership and internal departments. Create and implement pricing governance to include but not limited to policy, compliance mechanisms and metrics/reporting.

HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Design and implement pricing team process and technological infrastructure for future state success.
Create the pricing team consolidation implementation plan and identifies resources for tool development, training and additional resources as needed.
Identify, assess, create and mentor a strong team to support the future pricing strategy.
Create overall pricing model and rate card tools. Develop high level business requirements and cost/benefit analysis for pricing model verses update to mid:tier pricing tool and implements win:loss tracking and metrics to determine volume in each pricing tier. Identify and analyze pilot region findings to gain buy:in for new implementation process.
Evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and modify pricing structures as needed. Identify key dependencies to successfully move through phases in the implementation process. Evaluate adoption of pricing tools and assesses effectiveness of pricing structure. Capture and analyze KPIs and win/loss tracking to determine levels of custom pricing verses exceptions.
Lead change management initiatives associated with pricing implementation roadmap focused on sales adoption of new processes and tools.
Ensure strategic alignment among key stakeholders including CSO, GMs, and SVP, Finance.

WHAT YOULL BRING TO VALASSIS:
10+ years of experience in Analytics/Marketing with 4 : 8+ years of experience in pricing.
Financial or quantitative:oriented undergraduate degree. MBA preferred.
Ability to operate in the gray : transformational, but also excels analytically.
Strategic thinker with ability to implement change.
Confident presence with varying audiences, including executive management, corporate staff, and senior sales management.
Able to create structure/processes that institutionalize the knowledge into a structured process.
Strong ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and other key business partners to recommend and drive changes to our current pricing strategy.
Exceptional business acumen with the ability to take analytic data and synthesize it to identify business opportunities or issues and create necessary strategies and action steps to execute them.
Strong financial acumen. Has the ability to put the right data points together and accurately analyze them to come up with insights. Understanding of P and L flow through.
Ability to lead a team through significant change and can identify, assess, create and mentor a strong team to support the future pricing strategy.
Strong track record of process improvement.
High level of critical thinking and sound judgment.
Willingness to push the status quo and take risks.
Strong computer skills : Excel, Access, Hyperion
