The Energy Solutions (ES) Engineers primary focus will be to understand the customers current energy systems and consumption to make appropriate recommendations for all applicable ERCOT Demand Response programs as well as recommendations for energy conservation opportunities provided within NRG Business Solutions.

Essential Duties/Responsibilites:

- Perform preliminary Reduction Action Plan (RAP) analysis prior to Engineering Support Call

- Understand how to calculate Customer Baselines according to Market regulations

- Develop and document Customer Reduction Action Plan(s) and Internal Reduction Action Plan(s)

according to Standard Operating Procedure

- File all Reduction Action Plans (Customer:Version, Internal:Version) according to Standard

Operating Procedure

- Submit Reduction Action Plan values to RegApp according to Standard Operating Procedure

- Review historical event and/or test performance reports with customers and update Reduction

Action Plans to improve future performance, as needed

- Perform Site Visits to identify Reduction Action Strategies and additional NRG Energy Solution opportunities

- Perform Energy Audits for all business sectors, as needed

- Conduct aforementioned energy audits to develop energy savings calculations, develop cost estimates for energy conservation measures

- Identify and quantify energy conservation measures associated with HVAC systems, Energy

Management Systems, building envelope improvements, and renewable energy technologies

- Understand the full range of NRG offerings and their applications in customer solutions. Devises multiple offerings to meet specific program requirements (where applicable)

- Responsible for remaining current with relevant engineering or design standards and practices

- Provides engineering support to the Business Development team lead and/or Internal Sales during the initial Sales process

- Responsible for the promotion and adherence of NRG safety policies

- Perform additional duties as assigned by Market Manager

Additional Knowledge , Skills and Abilities:

The Energy Solutions (ES) Engineer must have strong interpersonal skills in order to work as part of a team, and especially with customers. The Energy Solutions (ES) Engineer must be able to balance multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously, using time management skills.

- Ability to work well under pressure, remaining focused and calm in a fast paced environment

- Ability to work without supervision while carrying out duties

- Ability to handle multiple tasks or assignments at the same time

- Ability to communicate information clearly, both orally and in writing

- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a team environment

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skill

- Organized, task:oriented, and strong attention to detail

- Knowledge and understanding of additional NRG products to identify other business opportunities for sales teams

- Understanding of program rules and requirements for each market

- Proficiency in Microsoft Offic
