Description of Duties:Install, construct, maintain and repair electronic devices.
Ability to troubleshoot electronic devices at the component level.
Read electric and electronic engineering drawings, electronic circuit diagrams, color coding symbols, and prepare related sketches.
Read and understand PLC logic (Siemens, Modicon, Allen-Bradley).
Possess a sound basic knowledge of electricity and practical knowledge of mathematics necessary to determine parameters such as:
Series and/or parallel configurations of resistors, capacitors, or inductors, and any or all of these in combinations.
Capacitive reactance, inductive reactance, and impedance.
Time constants in resistive-capacitive and in resistive-inductive networks.
Stage gain (or loss), stage voltages and currents under varied operating conditions, and, if applicable, relationship to other stages.
Perform Root Cause Analysis/5 Why on significant breakdowns and electronic failures.
Perform equipment PM?s per written specifications and recommend changes to PM job plans based on Root Cause Analysis performed and manufacturer recommendations.
Work with Systems Engineers and other Engineers on troubleshooting, new equipment installation, equipment breakdowns, PM recommendations, etc.
Able to use laptop computer and associated PLD software to troubleshoot electronic and instrumentation problems.
Knowledge of desktop computer skills an Microsoft office.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required education: Associates
Minimum of 2-year degree in electronics technology and 3+ years as Electronics Technician in a manufacturing facility.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with metal detectors, ultrasonic inspection equipment, AC/DC drives and video surveillance systems.
Electrical Technology or Instrumentation degrees.
