Alliance Steel, Inc. is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our growing team. The Document Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the shop fills out all appropriate paperwork, and we have all documentation available to the customer as required by code and/or customer spec. This position plays an important role in quality control and ensuring that our customers receive a high-quality product with an accurate data package.
Job Summary: The Document Control Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining all project documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role ensures that all documents are accurately filed, easily accessible, and properly archived. 
Key Responsibilities: Document Management: Maintain and manage all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence.Document Control System: Implement and maintain document control systems and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.Quality Assurance: Ensure all documents are accurate, up-to-date, and meet quality standards before distribution.Document Distribution: Distribute documents to relevant personnel in a timely manner and track document revisions and approvals.Archiving: Archive documents in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Reporting: Generate and maintain document control reports and logs. Preferred Qualifications & Experience: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in document control or a similar role preferred.Skills: Proficiency in document management software (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Adobe). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working Conditions: Office environment with occasional plant floor visits.May require occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.  Boot Requirements: · Must meet ASTM F2413-18 standards · Must be full leather (no fabric) · Must have a built-in Metatarsal Guard (MT)
