Job Purpose 13;

To lead the verification and validation activities related to EnerSys product NPIs and ESRs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 13;


To work within a V model for verifiaction and validation (VeVa).

Ensuring all VeVa activities encompasses cells, blocs, modules, packs, full systems are defined and planned out. VeVa encompasses component and sub component levels.

Ensuring all functional groups or simultaneous engineering teams are supporting VeVa activity.

To develop modelling systems such as HIL / SIL.

To develop standard work practices and systems, also develop autonomous systems.

To advise on appropriate hardware, software, tools and techniques applicable to VeVa requirements.

To set out testing capacity required internally and set out clear investment plans (CAPEX) and programs to achieve targets.

To esnure VeVa activity is prioritsed in agreement with PM group and strategic business requirements.

To define electrical test equipment specification and capability

To co:ordinate testing programs and advise on 3rd party laboratory support.

To develop a lean methodlogy for VeVa activity; eliminating waste / non value addaed.

To develop reporting systems and data analysis packages; ensuring links to PM/Engineering/PLM/Chief Engineering structures.

Define staff skill requirements and hiring needed to meet NPI and strategic goals

To manage financial engineering budgets.

To manage CAPEX programs linked to VeVa.

To evaluate product to specific global customer and international standards (e.g. IEEE, IEC, UL)

To ensure all testing activity meets environmental, health and safety (EHS) requirements at all times.

Set out staff training and development programs

Qualifications 13;

Ideally 5+ years of practical experience minimum in product development activity involving testing of electrical / battery systems at a senior engineering level / position.

Strong knowledge and experience of electrical tests systems related to batteries / energy storage.

Strong knowledge and experience of modelling and software systems used for battery systems (e.g. HIL).

Experience of leading multi:functional engineering teams.

Experience of working with customers on specific battery testing programs and activity.

Experience of establishing, evolving, adapting electrical test laboratories (equipment selection, capex, management of, data systems).

Experience of reacting to changes in business developments and strategic NPIs turning this into functional area requirements.

High level engineering degree or in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally electrical engineering. Additional Masters would be beneficial.

Multi:lingual skills would be beneficial

Ability to work with global business structures and functions

Experience of software tools for modelling and analytical functions.

Ability to work within a growing agile and adaptive engineering team environment.
