The Technology Development Program (TDP) is a strategic initiative within Optum Technology (OT) that obsesses with attracting and hiring the best talent on college campuses and from other talent sources across the globe through a close partnership with Talent Acquisition. This leadership role will be accountable for supporting managers in ensuring a positive experience as an intern or full-time employee including elements such as work satisfaction, compensation, engagement and more.

Primary Responsibilities:

Partner with Optum Early Careers to ensure TDP continues to be the primary source of early career technology talent which includes both quality, diversity, and the ability to retain
Ensure a global approach to TDP - driving synergies where they make sense and understanding where differences are necessary
Support the organization in meeting financial commitments for TDP
Deliver areas of optimization, efficiency, and automation in TDP including areas such as tools, reporting, and other SG&A expenses
Participate in building a truly connected strategy and system across the various aspects of Optum Technology Workforce Transformation and Operations
Manage TDP full-time and intern placements, ensuring supply matches demand
Lead reporting requirements related to TDP including regular sharing and insights to key stakeholder groups - then drive improvement to areas that need it
Manage communications to TDP employees, interns, and management in partnership with Optum Early Careers
Create a global talent source strategy to attract the best diverse global talent possible while getting the scale from our collective enterprise investments
Continue to build and iterate on our Early Career/TDP strategy, scaling its best elements to other elements of OT's workforce
Monitor and work to improve TDP alumni retention

Required Qualifications:

7+ years in a role in or that has supported a large scaled technology organization
5+ years in a leadership position driving large scale corporate projects / program
5+ years working in a role that provided mentorship / development functions
Experience in influencing senior leadership through presentations
2+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Human Capital, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, or Workforce Management

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with entry level talent development programs
Experience with Large/Complex multi-disciplinary program management
Strong organizational, planning, time management, decisioning, analysis, prioritization, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Skilled at matrix management, stakeholder management, change management, team management, interpersonal skills, communication
Financial acumen including budget creation/monitoring/management
