The Sector Strategic Marketing Director supports a comprehensive view of the Sector with clearly identified growth platforms, leads market understanding via customer and competitor analysis and leads marketing communications supporting the Sector growth and profitability ambitions with guidance from the Health Executive Committee.

Key Responsibilities

Support the formulation and implementation of the Sector strategy, ensuring internal and external Sector alignment especially making sure that strategy aligns with the Sectors/JMs overall vision and its current and long:term business objectives.
Support Sector annual strategic planning and business objectives planning in collaboration with the Sector Executive Committee members.
Support business development activities, identifying and assessing growth platform opportunities with contributions from key senior level customers/stakeholders and in line with the Sector strategy : organic, innovative, partnership, joint:venture and acquisitive driven growth, including ownership of inorganic platform opportunity target:lists and pre:due:diligence processes.
Lead and manage customer and competitor market intelligence analysis to drive lead identification and actionable market insight including opportunities and threats for Health Sector Business Units.
Lead and manage Pharmaceutical Segment facing including Health Sector marketing communications including strategy and research and analytics of competitor strategies, value driven content, campaign planning, communication mix and channel management to service external and internal needs, in alignment with Business Units and JM Group.
Identify and participate or ensure participation in key industry events to promote Health Sector capabilities and JM brand.
Lead Health Sectors Marketing Communications Excellence activities including Digital Strategy, identifying articulating and embedding relevant trends and best practise in conjunction with JM Group initiatives.
Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators to analyze and report on total marketing contribution to customer acquisition and penetration, lead generation and securing project and product opportunities relating to JMs activities in the Pharmaceutical Segment.
To carry out any other duties which are within the employees skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Are you the ideal candidate?

Bachelors in Marketing or related field of study
5+ years management experience in Marketing, including Marketing Communications in a Health:related business
10 years experience in Drug Substance segment technical or commercial roles
Ability to identify strategic needs, lead all aspects of planning with solid business recommendations and generate alignment with key business partners
Ability to manage multiple business initiatives in an entrepreneurial environment
Strong understanding of Drug Substance and Drug Product segments, their needs and values and requirements to differentiate
Ability to self:manage and manage teams
Requires excellent communication skills with customers and other stakeholders, and has the ability to motivate a team(s) via direct management and indirect management.
Deep and broad business knowledge of the business in which they operate
Proven commercial understanding with a track record of developing growth:orientated strategies and executing complex growth projects and investments.
